Nigerian music superstar and Grammy Award winner, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has hinted at plans to start a family as he marked his 34th birthday.
The artist, known for global hits such as Last Last and Tatata, shared his reflections during his birthday celebration, revealing that age and a recent conversation with oil magnate Jowizaza have prompted him to consider fatherhood more seriously.
“After talking with Jowizaza, I started thinking deeply about my life. I’m getting older—maybe it’s time to start having kids,” he said in a statement delivered partly in pidgin English.
This revelation signals a notable shift from Burna Boy’s earlier stance on parenthood. In 2024, the singer made it clear that he was not ready to raise children, citing the demands of his career and his inability to provide the time and attention a child would require. At the time, he said he would only consider having children once he was married or more settled in his personal life.
Burna Boy’s comments have since sparked speculation among fans and observers about what might be next for the Afro-fusion star, who has remained relatively private about his personal relationships in recent months.
As he steps into a new phase of life and possibly fatherhood, fans around the world are watching closely to see how this development will influence both his music and lifestyle.
