Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has dismissed speculation surrounding her marriage, stating that her husband, Mr. Ezerika, is not hidden from the public but simply chooses to live a private life.
In a recent interview on the Dear Ife podcast by Diary of a Naija Girl, the award-winning actress explained that the decision to keep her relationship low-profile stems from a desire to avoid unnecessary public drama—not to conceal anything.
Kadiri, who is a mother of two, emphasized that her husband is involved in her public life and is often present at her events. She also mentioned that they regularly attend church and social gatherings together.
“My life isn’t as private as people assume. My husband is present at the events I organize. People close to me know him well,” she said.
She went on to say that the expectations from the public to showcase her marriage online or in the media are misplaced. According to Kadiri, personal relationships do not need to be validated through public display.
“For clarity, my husband is not a secret. I just don’t understand why I need to prove anything. The people that matter know him, and that’s enough for me,” she added.
Kadiri’s comments come amid ongoing public curiosity about her family life, which she has consistently chosen to keep away from the spotlight. The actress reiterated that her approach is a personal choice driven by peace of mind, not secrecy.
