At least 11 people were reportedly killed after suspected Boko Haram fighters attacked Zaranga village in Gombi Local Government Area of Adamawa State on Monday.
Residents told PUNCH that the attackers invaded the community in the early hours, shooting residents and setting houses on fire.
Residents Report Heavy Casualties
A resident who spoke to journalists said 11 bodies had been recovered while several people were still missing.
The source said search teams and security personnel had moved into surrounding areas in an effort to locate those unaccounted for.
Another resident reportedly said his wife and two other members of his family were among those killed.
