Emmanuella, wife of popular Nigerian comedian and content creator Carter Efe, has dismissed public criticism surrounding her husband’s over-the-top comedy skits, saying she fully supports his creative expression.
Addressing the matter during a recent livestream, Emmanuella clarified that she’s not only aware of the skits before they are published, but often plays an active role in encouraging them.
“Many people assume I’m embarrassed by the things he does online,” she said. “But I’m always in the loop. I even suggest some of those crazy ideas. There’s absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.”
She emphasized the importance of spousal support, urging women not to be embarrassed by their partner’s profession, regardless of how unconventional it may seem.
“There’s dignity in honest work. I’m proud of my man and everything he does. No one should feel ashamed of their partner’s hustle,” she concluded.
