Reality TV star and beauty entrepreneur Anita Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has achieved a historic feat by setting two Guinness World Records for the most cosmetic makeovers completed within eight hours and within 24 hours.
The Big Brother Naija alum made the record-breaking attempt during the Tacha Beauty Festival, a three-day event held from October 10 to 12, 2025, at the John Randle Centre for Yorùbá Culture & History in Lagos.
According to Guinness World Records, Tacha completed 82 makeovers in eight hours and 144 makeovers in 24 hours, surpassing previous records and earning global recognition for her effort.
The organization confirmed her success in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, writing:
“Congratulations to @Symply_Tacha, who set TWO new Guinness World Record titles for the most cosmetic makeovers in eight hours and 24 hours.”
Following the announcement, the 29-year-old took to Instagram to express gratitude to her team, fans, and late mother, describing the journey as one powered by grace, resilience, and teamwork.
“You smiled, talked, cried, and hyped me till the last second,” she wrote. “From the depth of my heart, thank you. We didn’t just work — we warred.”
Tacha also reflected on the behind-the-scenes challenges, revealing that the success came after sleepless nights, long hours, and moments of exhaustion.
“The world sees the headline, but God and I know the trenches — prayers at 3 a.m., swollen feet, shaky hands, and grace that never failed,” she added.
In her statement to Guinness World Records, Tacha explained that her passion for makeup and determination to break boundaries inspired the attempt.
“The idea of daring to be different drove me,” she said. “I wanted to show that Nigerian women can achieve anything they set their minds to, that creativity is powerful, and that African women deserve global recognition.”
She also extended appreciation to her supporters, saying, “To everyone who called, showed up, reposted, and believed before seeing results — thank you. The same God who did this for me will answer your secret prayers.”
Tacha concluded with a message of motivation for her followers and aspiring dreamers:
“Don’t stop. If you don’t have haters, pray for some — they’ll push you into purpose. While they hate, I chase destiny and win. My name, Anita, means gracious and grace is loud on my life.”
Her record-setting achievement marks a new milestone for Nigerian creatives in the global beauty industry, further cementing her influence as one of Africa’s leading media personalities.
