Former Big Brother Naija star, Kiddwaya, has stated that his father, businessman Terry Waya, was instrumental in the discovery of Banana Island, one of Lagos’ most exclusive and expensive residential areas.
The revelation emerged during his appearance on the Off The Record podcast. In the course of the interview, the host asked Kiddwaya to confirm a widespread rumour linking his father to the development of the luxury estate.
Responding to the inquiry, Kiddwaya affirmed the claim, saying he only became aware of the information during his travels. The former reality TV contestant noted that even he had been unfamiliar with the story until it resurfaced through external sources.
Terry Waya, known for his extensive investments in real estate, agriculture and hospitality, has long referred to himself as a billionaire. His public profile drew heightened attention in 2020, following Kiddwaya’s participation in Big Brother Naija, which triggered renewed interest in his family background and business dealings.
