Isapa, a community in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, faces renewed threats from armed bandits who kidnapped 10 residents on November 25, 2025. The criminals have issued a seven-day ultimatum, demanding N300 million for the release of the victims.

The bandits initially demanded N500 million but reportedly reduced the ransom following negotiations. Local authorities offered N5 million, which the kidnappers rejected.

Mr. A. Adeyeye, head hunter of Isapa, confirmed the development, revealing that the gang threatened to carry out another attack on the community if their demands were not met. “They warned that failure to pay would result in the deaths of the abducted individuals and that many community members could also be killed,” Adeyeye said.

The kidnappers also claimed responsibility for a recent attack on the Ejiba community in Kogi State, heightening concerns about potential further violence.

Authorities and community leaders continue to engage with the kidnappers, urging calm while seeking a safe resolution for the victims.
