Nigerian Grammy-winning artist Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has revealed that he wants singer Asake to perform at his wedding.
Wizkid made the disclosure during a recent appearance on Apple Music Radio, where he was joined by Asake and DJ Tunez.
He said Asake’s breakout hit ‘Omo Ope’ instantly made him a fan, adding that his favourite track from the YBNL star is ‘Remember’, which he hopes will be performed at his wedding ceremony.
The Starboy frontman praised Asake as one of the most talented vocalists in Africa and beyond, describing him as a blessing to the continent’s music industry.
“You have one of the most special voices from home and in the world,” Wizkid said. “I have told you that a million times, and I’m saying it again on radio.”
Wizkid is currently in a relationship with his manager and third baby mama, Jada P. They share three children—two boys and a girl. The singer has teased plans for his wedding on multiple occasions.
