Former Big Brother Naija reality show winner, Phyna, has expressed her willingness to reconcile with award-winning singer Davido, nearly two years after the pair were embroiled in a public online disagreement.
The rift dates back to October 2023, when Davido liked a post on X (formerly Twitter) that described Phyna’s fans as “useless.” Reacting at the time, Phyna, while congratulating the singer on the birth of his twins with Chioma, questioned whether she had done anything to deserve what she perceived as hostility from him.
Davido, however, responded by saying he did not know who Phyna was, a remark that further escalated the exchange. Phyna replied, “God knows me,” and subsequently unfollowed the singer on Instagram.
Speaking during a recent livestream, the reality television star said she is now open to making peace with Davido and would publicly apologise if given the opportunity to engage him directly. She noted that she would welcome a chance to host the singer on her livestream to clarify the misunderstanding that led to their fallout.
According to Phyna, any apology should be preceded by an honest conversation to understand the circumstances surrounding Davido’s action and his comments at the time. She suggested that the controversy may have been the result of a misunderstanding, adding that hearing the singer’s perspective would help resolve lingering issues between them.
Her remarks mark a shift from the tension that followed their exchange, signaling a desire to move past the disagreement and restore cordial relations.
