The long-running paternity dispute involving Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has escalated following the circulation of an alleged leaked chat between the singer and a 12-year-old girl, Anuoluwapo Mitchelle, who claims to be his daughter.
Screenshots of the conversation, shared on Anuoluwapo’s Instagram account—reportedly co-managed by her mother, Ayo Labinjoh—show a heated exchange in which Davido allegedly rejected the paternity claim and warned that he could have the girl’s mother arrested over what he described as persistent harassment.
Although Davido has not publicly confirmed the authenticity of the messages, the alleged chat has gone viral across social media platforms, reigniting public debate around the controversial claim.
In the leaked messages, Davido is quoted as saying:
“Stop this nonsense. Keep playing, and I will arrest your mother. Try this nonsense again. I’m not your father.”
When Anuoluwapo reportedly insisted that her mother was not involved in her direct communication with him, the singer allegedly maintained his stance, reiterating that multiple DNA tests had ruled out paternity.
“I am not your father. Go and find your father. This is the last time. I’m warning. I’ve done five DNA tests. You’re not mine,” he allegedly wrote.
According to the chat, Davido claimed that the DNA tests were conducted at hospitals selected by both parties and that all results were negative. When asked to provide proof, he reportedly said the results would be made public.
The singer also expressed frustration over the prolonged nature of the dispute, noting that it had affected his family.
“You guys have been harassing me for years, and it has to stop. It’s not fair on my actual kids,” he allegedly stated.
The messages further suggest that Davido may be considering legal action, with threats to publish the DNA results and take the girl’s mother to court.
“I will publish everything online and in the newspapers, then take your mom to court,” one message read.
The paternity claim has been a subject of public controversy for several years, with Davido consistently denying that Anuoluwapo is his child. Neither Davido nor his legal representatives have issued an official statement as of the time of filing this report.
