Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Neo Akpofure, has threatened legal action against a woman who accused him of sexual assault on social media.

The allegation surfaced on Tuesday, February 17, when a user on X (formerly Twitter), identified as @notralia, claimed she had been sexually assaulted by the reality TV star during their time at the University of Calabar. The woman alleged that they had previously maintained a consensual casual relationship and that an encounter later turned non-consensual.

In response, Neo’s legal representatives, E.L. Akpofure, SAN & Co., issued a letter dated February 18, 2026, describing the accusation as “entirely false, malicious and defamatory.”

The law firm stated that the allegation falsely portrayed their client as a criminal and had exposed him to public ridicule, reputational harm and emotional distress.

The legal notice demanded that the accuser, identified in the letter as Ms. Arikan Udoka, immediately delete the post and any related publications, issue a public retraction and tender an apology acknowledging that the claims were untrue. The lawyers also requested a written undertaking to refrain from making further statements deemed defamatory.

The firm warned that failure to comply within 48 hours would prompt the initiation of civil defamation proceedings under Nigerian law.

As of the time of filing this report, the accuser had not publicly responded to the legal notice.
