Nigerian content creator Kolu has reportedly been arrested in the United Kingdom following an incident involving immigration officials.
The development was disclosed by Nigerian musician Candy Bleakz in a video shared on her Instagram page. She stated that Kolu had travelled to the UK under her sponsorship.
According to Candy Bleakz, the incident occurred as they were preparing to board a return flight to Nigeria. She alleged that Kolu was unable to locate his passport at the airport, prompting the need to inform immigration authorities.
She claimed that while efforts were being made to resolve the issue, Kolu became involved in an altercation with immigration officers, which led to his arrest and detention at a police station.
“I already explained to Kolu that he is going to the UK on my name, and if he does not come back to Nigeria, it is going to have a huge effect on me,” she said in the video, adding that she had been at the station since morning seeking to address the situation.
Candy Bleakz also expressed concern that deportation proceedings could negatively affect Kolu’s travel records.
As of the time of filing this report, UK authorities have not issued an official statement regarding the alleged arrest.
