Popular Nigerian comic actor and content creator Bamidele Tope Saint, widely known as Okemesi, has died.
The actor reportedly passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at about 11:50 a.m. while receiving treatment at a hospital following complications linked to medication administered during an earlier medical procedure.
Okemesi’s death comes hours after reports emerged that he had fallen into a coma due to health complications.
Fellow actor Jeff Owolewa, popularly known as Tony Montana, confirmed the development in a video shared on Instagram, stating that medical personnel pronounced the actor dead at the hospital.
“With a heavy heart, I’m announcing to the world that Okemesi is dead. The doctor pronounced him dead at exactly 11:50 a.m. this morning,” he said.
Owolewa added that the actor’s remains have been deposited in a mortuary, while funeral arrangements will be communicated by the family at a later time.
The late actor had recently received public support after appealing for financial assistance amid health challenges that reportedly left him without stable accommodation.
