Rahman Jago, a socialite and close associate of Grammy Award-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy, has claimed that the artiste has converted to Islam.

Speculation about Burna Boy’s religious affiliation began weeks ago after the singer revealed during a podcast interview that he had embraced Islam “at some point” in his personal search for truth. The comment sparked widespread discussion among fans, although the musician did not provide further clarification at the time.

The conversation resurfaced after Rahman Jago shared a video on social media showing Burna Boy praising Allah alongside a group of men. The video, posted with the caption “Allahu Akbar,” reignited public interest in the singer’s religious beliefs.

Former presidential media aide Bashir Ahmad later reposted the clip, describing the singer as appearing happy and offering prayers for ease in his spiritual journey.

In the comment section of the post, a social media user asked whether Burna Boy had officially converted to Islam. Responding to the inquiry, Rahman Jago stated that the singer had indeed embraced the faith.

“He converted. He is now a Muslim,” Jago wrote.

As of the time of this report, Burna Boy has not issued an official public statement confirming the claim.
