Human rights lawyer launches fierce attack on President Tinubu as insecurity worsens across Nigeria.
Human rights lawyer and activist Inibehe Effiong has called for the immediate resignation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, declaring that the worsening wave of killings and insecurity across Nigeria has exposed a complete failure of leadership.
Effiong, in a strongly worded statement that is now generating heated reactions online, said Tinubu has “no business remaining in office” if Nigerians can no longer sleep peacefully or travel safely across the country.
The fiery criticism comes amid growing outrage over recurring kidnappings, terrorist attacks and deadly assaults in several parts of Nigeria, including the latest school abduction crisis in Oyo State. Across social media, many Nigerians have also expressed frustration over the deteriorating security situation and the rising fear among citizens.
According to Effiong, the continued killings of innocent Nigerians should be enough reason for accountability at the highest level of government. He accused the federal administration of failing to provide adequate protection for lives and properties despite repeated assurances from security agencies.
His remarks have since sparked intense debate among political observers and Nigerians online, with supporters insisting that the country’s security architecture has collapsed, while critics argue that insecurity predates the current administration and requires collective national solutions.
The statement is expected to further intensify political tensions ahead of future electoral conversations, especially as insecurity continues to dominate national discourse across the country.
