The Spiritual Father and Chairman of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide (Ayo Ni O), His Most Eminence Prophet Emmanuel Adewale Abiodun Alogbo, has died at the age of 93. The church announced that the revered cleric passed away peacefully in the early hours of Thursday at his residence in Lagos.
The announcement was contained in an official circular dated July 30, 2026, signed by the church’s Secretary-General, Prophet Anthony Olusesan Samaye.
According to the statement, Prophet Alogbo died at about 2:10 a.m., surrounded by members of his family and domestic staff.
Church Announces Seven Days of Prayer
The church described the late cleric’s passing as a transition to glory after a life dedicated to the service of God and humanity.
It announced that daily prayer sessions would be held for seven days beginning at 5:00 p.m. at his residence located at Plot 1, Alogbo Close, off Ahmadiyya Bus Stop, Ijaiye-Ojokoro, Lagos.
The church added that funeral arrangements would be announced at a later date.
A Lifetime of Spiritual Leadership
Until his death, Prophet Alogbo served as the Supreme Head of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria and Spiritual Father/Chairman of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide (Ayo Ni O).
He was widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s longest-serving church leaders and was credited with expanding the church’s influence across Nigeria and in several countries abroad.
Tributes Expected
His death has thrown members of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement into mourning, with tributes expected from Christian leaders, public officials and members of the church in the coming days.
The church prayed for the peaceful repose of his soul and asked members to remain steadfast during the mourning period.
