Health ministry moves to tighten regulation of mortuary operations across the state.
The Anambra State Ministry of Health has directed all mortuary owners and operators in Anambra State to immediately register their facilities or renew expired licences.
The directive forms part of ongoing regulatory reforms being implemented by the state government within the health sector.
Authorities said the exercise is aimed at ensuring proper monitoring and regulation of mortuary operations across the state.
Operators with expired licences have also been instructed to complete their renewal processes in line with the new compliance requirements.
The state government stressed that the directive applies to all mortuary facilities operating within Anambra State.
