Former two-time heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua produced a stunning comeback to stop Kristian Prenga in the second round after surviving two knockdowns in the opening round of their heavyweight clash in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Anthony Joshua returned to winning ways in dramatic fashion on Saturday night, overcoming an early scare to knock out Albanian heavyweight Kristian Prenga in the second round.

The British-Nigerian boxer endured a nightmare start after Prenga floored him twice in the opening round, including a powerful uppercut in the first 30 seconds of the contest. Despite the setbacks, Joshua recovered and produced a dominant second-round display to force a stoppage.

Joshua Produces Stunning Comeback

After weathering Prenga’s early assault, Joshua returned aggressively in the second round with a barrage of heavy punches.

A crushing right hand sent Prenga crashing through the ropes, prompting the referee to wave off the contest at 2:43 of Round 2, handing Joshua an emotional knockout victory.

Emotional Victory

Speaking after the fight, Joshua reflected on the difficult months leading up to his return, having recovered from injuries sustained in a tragic car accident in Nigeria that claimed the lives of two close friends.

He thanked his supporters and said the victory marked an important step in his comeback journey.

Fury Fight Moves Closer

The victory has intensified anticipation for a long-awaited all-British showdown between Joshua and Tyson Fury.

Promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed that a contract for the blockbuster heavyweight bout has already been signed, with the fight expected later this year.
