Barcelona have officially completed the signing of Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus from Arsenal, bringing the 29-year-old striker to Camp Nou on a permanent transfer.
Jesus has signed a three-year contract running until 2029, while reports put the initial transfer fee at around €10 million, with a further €4 million available in add-ons. Arsenal have also retained a 20 per cent sell-on clause.
The move brings an end to Jesus’ four-year spell at Arsenal, where he made 123 appearances and scored 32 goals after arriving from Manchester City in 2022. He also helped Arsenal win the 2025/26 Premier League title.
For Barcelona, the signing provides Hansi Flick with another option in the No. 9 position after the club’s pursuit of Atlético Madrid forward Julián Álvarez failed to materialise.
Jesus has already expressed his excitement about beginning a new chapter at Barcelona and his ambition to compete for major trophies, including the Champions League.
The transfer also gives Arsenal future upside through the 20 per cent sell-on clause should Barcelona eventually sell the Brazilian forward.
