Seven students of the Federal Polytechnic, Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State, have reportedly been abducted following an attack by suspected bandits on an off-campus residence.
The incident occurred in the Low-Cost area on the outskirts of Kaura Namoda town, where armed men reportedly stormed the students’ accommodation before taking the victims away.
The latest attack adds to persistent security concerns within parts of Zamfara State, where communities have repeatedly faced threats from armed groups.
The abduction also places renewed attention on the vulnerability of students residing outside school campuses, particularly in areas affected by recurring security challenges.
At the time of reporting, details regarding the whereabouts of the students and any rescue operation had not been disclosed.
