First Lady unveils empowerment package while campaigning for APC ahead of June 20 governorship election.
Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has called on residents of Ekiti State to support Governor Biodun Oyebanji and the All Progressives Congress ahead of the June 20 governorship election.
Speaking on Saturday, the First Lady also announced a N100 million empowerment grant targeted at 2,000 women in the state.
The intervention is aimed at supporting women through empowerment initiatives as political activities intensify ahead of the election.
Oluremi Tinubu urged residents to back Oyebanji’s candidacy while highlighting the administration’s commitment to supporting women and grassroots development.
The announcement formed part of activities surrounding the APC campaign efforts in Ekiti State ahead of the poll.
