Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has taken another swipe at former Osun State Governor Gboyega Oyetola ahead of the August 15 governorship election.
Davido’s latest comment came after Oyetola welcomed the arrival of senior APC leaders in Osogbo ahead of the party’s mega campaign rally.
Among those who arrived for the APC rally were Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma and other senior party figures.
Reacting to Oyetola’s post on X, Davido wrote:
“If you like gather Jesus’ 12 disciples, o ma LULE for the 3rd time!!!!!”
The statement was an apparent reference to the political contest in Osun State and Davido’s continued support for his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke.
The singer has remained outspoken about the Osun election, repeatedly using his social media platforms to comment on political developments in the state.
His intervention has generated significant reactions online, with supporters of Adeleke and APC supporters exchanging arguments over the election and the influence of political heavyweights campaigning for the respective candidates.
The APC has continued to mobilise national and state leaders behind its candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, as the party seeks to take control of the state.
The election is scheduled for August 15, with Adeleke seeking another term and Oyebamiji mounting the APC challenge.
