Cleric urges Lagos State Government to adopt stricter security measures amid rising security concerns.

Popular cleric, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a warning to the Lagos State Government over what he described as increasing security risks in the state, claiming that terrorists are already present in Lagos.

In his message, the cleric called for urgent policy actions, including restrictions on commercial motorcycles (okada) and street begging, which he suggested could be linked to security vulnerabilities in the state.

Primate Ayodele’s statement adds to ongoing conversations about security preparedness in Nigeria’s commercial capital, particularly as authorities continue to review strategies for urban safety and intelligence monitoring.

The cleric maintained that proactive measures are necessary to prevent escalation of security threats in densely populated areas like Lagos.

Authorities have not issued an official response to the claims at the time of this report.

The development continues to draw attention to broader national concerns over infiltration risks in major urban centres.
