The leadership of the Nigerian Senate has held a closed-door meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, to discuss key national issues and strengthen collaboration between the Executive and Legislative arms of government.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday received members of the Senate leadership at the Presidential Villa in Abuja for a high-level meeting focused on governance, legislative cooperation and other matters of national importance.
The meeting was attended by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele, and other principal officers of the Red Chamber. Officials described the engagement as part of ongoing consultations between the Executive and Legislature.
Deliberations Held Behind Closed Doors
Although details of the discussions were not immediately made public, Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele disclosed that the meeting centered on issues of urgent national importance.
