The Yoruba Nation activist says he will reveal names if alleged support for the kidnappers continues.
Yoruba Nation activist, Sunday Igboho, has threatened to publicly identify politicians he alleges are backing those responsible for the abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Igboho made the claim during an interaction with leaders of the National Association of Nigerian Students, amid growing concern over the fate of the victims who were abducted during attacks on schools in the area.
According to him, some political figures are providing support to the criminal groups involved. He warned that he would disclose their identities if the alleged backing continues.
The activist also claimed he had offered to assist in efforts to confront the kidnappers but was prevented from doing so by the Oyo State Government.
His remarks arrive at a moment when authorities are continuing rescue efforts, while families and communities await the safe return of the abducted pupils and teachers.
