Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga has praised President Bola Tinubu over infrastructure projects across Nigeria, saying the administration deserves recognition for improving connectivity.
Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the Federal Government’s infrastructure projects across Nigeria.
Onanuga said Tinubu deserves applause for what he described as the administration’s efforts to connect different parts of the country through roads, bridges and other major infrastructure projects.
He made the remarks during an inspection tour of federal infrastructure projects by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors Presidential Media Team.
Onanuga Highlights Infrastructure Projects
According to Onanuga, the administration has invested in projects designed to improve connectivity between different parts of Nigeria.
He specifically highlighted road and bridge projects linking communities and regions, describing the infrastructure drive as an important component of the Tinubu administration’s development agenda.
Onanuga argued that the projects demonstrate the government’s effort to address infrastructure gaps across the country.
‘Tinubu Deserves Applause’
The presidential spokesperson said President Tinubu should be commended for projects being undertaken across different parts of the country.
His comments came as the media team inspected ongoing infrastructure projects, including sections of the Makurdi–Otukpo–Obolo-Affor–Enugu corridor.
The Federal Government has continued to present road infrastructure as part of its broader effort to improve economic activity and facilitate movement of people and goods.
Infrastructure and Economic Development
Poor road networks and inadequate infrastructure have remained longstanding challenges for Nigeria, affecting transportation, commerce and regional connectivity.
The Tinubu administration has made infrastructure development one of the areas it has repeatedly pointed to in defending its economic programme.
The government says improved transport infrastructure can support economic activity by reducing travel times, improving movement of goods and opening up communities to greater commercial opportunities.
