President Bola Tinubu has reportedly met with 76 APC leaders from Osun State amid internal concerns within the party ahead of the August 15 governorship election.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reportedly summoned 76 leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Osun State to the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja, amid concerns over the party’s preparations for the August 15 governorship election.

The meeting comes at a critical stage of the electoral contest, with the APC seeking to strengthen its campaign and resolve internal grievances ahead of the poll.

Reports indicate that the President’s engagement with the party leaders was focused on addressing concerns within the Osun APC and improving unity ahead of the election.

The APC is fielding Bola Oyebamiji as its governorship candidate against incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party.

The development underscores the importance the ruling party attaches to the Osun election, particularly amid reports of internal disquiet and concerns over its electoral prospects.

Tinubu’s intervention also comes as political parties intensify their final mobilisation efforts before voters head to the polls.
