Re-elected Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has reaffirmed his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bid for a second term in the 2027 presidential election.
Adeleke made the declaration on Sunday following his victory in the Osun governorship election, in which he secured another four-year term after defeating APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji.
The governor described Tinubu as a “son of Osun State” and praised the President over his role in ensuring what Adeleke described as a free and fair governorship election.
He also thanked the President for supporting the democratic process during the election.
Adeleke’s renewed endorsement is politically significant because he contested the Osun election under the Accord Party after leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
His position also comes against the backdrop of growing political realignments ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The governor had previously expressed support for Tinubu’s re-election, and his latest comments reinforce that position following his successful bid for a second term.
