FCT Minister Says 76 Of 107 Capital Projects Have Been Completed

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has assured that all capital projects initiated under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration in Abuja will be completed before the end of the President’s tenure.

Wike gave the assurance during a live media chat in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he highlighted what he described as significant progress in infrastructure development across the Federal Capital Territory.

76 Projects Already Completed

According to Wike, the Tinubu administration has commissioned 107 capital projects in the FCT, with 76 of them already completed.

The minister said another 10 projects are expected to be commissioned before the January election, while the remaining projects would be completed before the end of Tinubu’s tenure.

“The President’s administration under Bola Tinubu commissioned 107 capital projects. We have completed 76,” Wike said.

He added that the government intends to commission 10 more projects before January and complete all outstanding projects before the end of the administration.

Wike Highlights Infrastructure Push

The FCT minister has repeatedly pointed to infrastructure development as one of the major areas of focus under the Tinubu administration.

Recent reports have also highlighted the completion of previously abandoned projects in the capital, with Wike saying the FCT administration has prioritised projects inherited from previous governments.
