An FCT High Court sitting in Maitama, Abuja, has ordered Jordan Wike, son of Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike, to produce his American international passport in an ongoing $2.1 million land dispute.
Justice Sylvanus Oriji issued the order on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, following an application by counsel to the claimants, Hamza Dantani.
The suit, marked CV/008/2026, was filed by Safwan Garba GY and GY Global Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited against Jordan Wike.
Claimants Allege Unfulfilled Land Arrangement
According to the claimants, they approached Jordan Wike for assistance in facilitating the acquisition of two parcels of land measuring 30 hectares each in the Katampe and Guzape areas of Abuja.
They alleged that a $2.1 million facilitation arrangement was reached and that the money was delivered on September 26, 2025.
The claimants further alleged that the proposed land acquisition was not completed and that the funds were not refunded.
These allegations form part of the dispute before the court and have not been established as findings of wrongdoing.
Defendant Disputes the Claims
Jordan Wike, represented by Senior Advocate of Nigeria Ogwu Onoja, denied the allegations and adopted a statement on oath disputing the claims against him.
During cross-examination, he reportedly told the court that he was not in Nigeria on the date the claimants said the money was delivered and that he had travelled using his American international passport.
The claimants subsequently sought an order requiring him to produce the passport for the court’s inspection. Justice Oriji granted the application. The court also granted a separate request for him to write his name and signature several times on a plain sheet of paper.
Case Continues
The passport order forms part of the ongoing judicial proceedings and does not amount to a finding that the defendant committed fraud.
The court will continue to consider the evidence and submissions presented by both parties before determining the issues in dispute.
