Military says intensified rescue mission underway as pressure mounts over abducted victims

The Nigerian Army has announced the deployment of advanced air surveillance technology to track down kidnappers responsible for the abduction of victims in Oyo State.

Military authorities disclosed that security forces have significantly intensified rescue efforts following growing public concern over the kidnapping incident that shook residents and sparked nationwide outrage.

According to the Army, the newly deployed surveillance system will help security operatives monitor suspicious movements and identify criminal hideouts more effectively. Officials insist the technology-driven operation is expected to strengthen ongoing ground operations already underway in affected areas.

The latest development comes shortly after Governor Seyi Makinde assured residents that abducted teachers and students would soon return safely. Security agencies are reportedly working in collaboration with local intelligence groups and other federal security formations.

The kidnapping incident has once again raised serious concerns about insecurity in parts of the country, particularly attacks targeting schools and rural communities. Many Nigerians have continued to demand stronger security measures and faster response mechanisms from authorities.

Meanwhile, residents have been urged to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies by providing useful information capable of aiding rescue operations and helping authorities capture those responsible for the crime.
