The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has described United States President Donald Trump as the “best politician” he has ever met, saying the American leader is known for backing his words with action. Adeboye made the remarks during the U.S.–Nigeria Faith Heroes Award Gala held in Washington, D.C. on June 23.
Speaking at the event, Adeboye said one of the qualities he admires most about Trump is his willingness to act on issues after making public commitments.
According to the cleric, whenever Trump speaks on a matter, people should expect decisive action to follow because, in his view, the U.S. president has demonstrated a pattern of fulfilling his promises.
During his address, Adeboye also thanked the United States for its support in Nigeria’s fight against terrorism while calling for stronger international assistance to help address ongoing security challenges facing the country.
Adeboye made the remarks while receiving recognition at the Faith Heroes Award Gala, where discussions focused on religious freedom, security and international cooperation in addressing terrorism. His comments formed part of a broader appeal for sustained global support in tackling insecurity in Nigeria.
Adeboye said:
“He’s the best politician I’ve ever met. When he speaks, be prepared for action.”
He also urged the United States and its allies to continue supporting Nigeria’s efforts against terrorism, stressing that stronger international cooperation remains important in confronting security threats.
The cleric’s remarks have drawn attention following his appearance at the Washington event, where he combined praise for President Trump with a renewed call for deeper international collaboration in addressing terrorism and insecurity affecting Nigeria.
