Redeemer’s University has announced that eight of its Accounting students successfully passed the May 2026 qualifying examinations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
The achievement marks another academic milestone for the university’s Department of Accounting and highlights the institution’s focus on professional development alongside undergraduate education.
The university celebrated the students’ performance as an indication of the quality of academic and professional training provided to students in the Accounting programme.
Success in professional accounting examinations is regarded as a significant milestone for students seeking to build careers in accounting, auditing, taxation, financial management and related fields.
The development also adds to Redeemer’s University’s record of producing students who combine university education with professional qualifications.
The institution has previously highlighted the success of its Accounting students in ICAN examinations, including students who have attained professional qualifications while still pursuing their undergraduate studies.
The latest achievement is expected to further encourage students within the programme to pursue professional certification alongside their academic degrees.
