Keyamo seals Letter of Intent to boost aviation infrastructure and regional air connectivity across Africa.
Nigeria has signed a Letter of Intent with the African Development Bank (AfDB) in a strategic move aimed at strengthening aviation development across the continent.
The agreement was signed by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, during a high-level dialogue session with AfDB President and African governors in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo.
According to the Ministry, the partnership is designed to enhance aviation infrastructure, improve safety standards, and boost connectivity between African nations, while also supporting Nigeria’s ambition to become a regional aviation hub.
Keyamo described the deal as a major step toward unlocking investment opportunities in the aviation sector, noting that stronger air transport systems are essential for economic integration and trade across Africa.
The agreement is expected to attract further international cooperation and financing, with stakeholders optimistic about its long-term impact on Nigeria’s aviation competitiveness.
