The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, is scheduled to inaugurate the headquarters of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Abuja on Friday, October 23, 2026, as the group intensifies grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The movement said the inauguration would mark a significant step in strengthening its organisational structure and coordinating activities aimed at securing the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to the organisation, the new headquarters will serve as a strategic centre for coordinating its activities in the Federal Capital Territory and supporting its wider mobilisation programme across the country.

The event is expected to bring together leaders of the movement, political stakeholders, coordinators, supporters and other invited guests.

The movement said the office would improve communication among its various structures, support state and local government coordinators, and facilitate direct engagement with residents in communities across Nigeria.

Its approach centres on taking political messages directly to households, markets, workplaces, religious centres and other gathering points, rather than relying exclusively on conventional rallies and large political events.

The organisation has also been expanding its presence through state chapters and local government coordinating structures, with the stated objective of building a nationwide grassroots network ahead of the next general election.

The movement is convened by High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, who serves as its grand patron.

Its leadership has maintained that sustained community engagement will help communicate the policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration while providing opportunities for residents to express their views and concerns.

The inauguration comes as political groups and party structures begin positioning themselves for the 2027 elections, with grassroots mobilisation expected to play an important role in efforts to secure voter support.

However, the movement’s political objectives remain those of a pro-Tinubu organisation, and its claims about the potential impact of its activities will ultimately be tested by voter participation and electoral outcomes.

The opening of the Abuja headquarters is expected to provide a central base for coordinating the group’s activities as it pursues its campaign for Tinubu’s re-election.
