All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain Joe Igbokwe has criticised Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke over his decision to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Accord Party ahead of the 2026 governorship election.
Igbokwe described Adeleke’s decision as an “unbelievable mistake”, arguing that the governor’s movement away from the PDP could affect his political fortunes in the governorship contest.
Adeleke’s political platform has become a major issue in the run-up to the election, with the governor seeking another term amid significant political manoeuvring in the state.
Igbokwe’s criticism comes as the APC and other political parties intensify efforts to challenge Adeleke at the polls.
The APC chieftain has previously been outspoken on developments surrounding the Osun election and the political calculations involving the governor and his opponents.
