OSOGBO — The All Progressives Congress (APC) has intensified its final push ahead of the Osun State governorship election as Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma and other senior party leaders arrived in Osogbo for the party’s mega campaign rally.

The high-profile mobilisation comes ahead of the August 15 governorship election, with the APC seeking to consolidate its support for its candidate, Bola Oyebamiji.

Other senior APC figures and governors are also expected to participate in the rally as the party makes its final campaign push before the close of the campaign period.

Reports from Osogbo confirmed the arrival of Akpabio and Uzodimma, alongside other political heavyweights, for the major APC gathering.

The rally is expected to serve as one of the APC’s biggest displays of political strength in the state ahead of Saturday’s poll.

The presence of several governors and national party figures underscores the importance the ruling party has attached to the Osun election, which has become a major political contest ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The APC campaign has continued to project Oyebamiji as the candidate capable of taking over the state, while the opposition has maintained its own campaign for victory.

With the election only days away, political parties are now entering the final stretch of their mobilisation efforts as voters prepare to decide who will govern Osun State.
