Bishop David Oyedepo, founder and presiding bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, has highlighted the scale of the church’s new Ark auditorium, revealing a seating capacity of about 109,000 people alongside extensive internal infrastructure.
Oyedepo reportedly shared details of the facility during a recent church programme, describing the Ark as a major development within the church’s Canaanland complex in Ota, Ogun State.
According to details attributed to the Bishop, the facility has a seating capacity of 109,000 and is equipped with 126 escalators and 29 elevators.
The scale of the building has attracted attention because of the infrastructure required to move and accommodate such a large congregation.
Oyedepo also highlighted the facility’s cooling infrastructure, saying it has 20 chillers, with one reportedly capable of powering a 5,000-bed hotel.
The Ark forms part of the expansive Living Faith Church complex at Canaanland, which has for years been associated with large-scale religious infrastructure and major church gatherings.
The new auditorium is designed to accommodate a very large congregation while providing facilities intended to support the movement of worshippers within the complex.
The figures circulating about the facility have generated significant interest online, particularly because of the reported combination of its seating capacity and transportation infrastructure.
The Ark is another major development in Living Faith Church’s long-running investment in large worship facilities.
