Prophet Michael C. Noah has criticised social media personality VeryDarkMan (VDM) over what he described as repeated mockery of Christians and Christian worship practices.

Noah said his criticism was not primarily about VDM’s previous disagreements with Apostle Arome but about what he characterised as disrespect toward Christians and the way they pray.

He argued that criticism of religious figures should not extend to mocking an entire faith community or its worship practices.

The prophet also claimed that VDM had previously criticised him personally but said he had chosen not to respond because he did not consider the social media personality to be in the same professional or public category as himself.

Noah questions VDM’s approach

Noah’s comments appear to form part of a broader disagreement between religious figures and VDM over his commentary on Christian personalities and practices.

The prophet also referred to VDM’s 2025 trip to China while discussing their respective business experiences, using the comparison to dismiss what he described as VDM’s attempts to establish credibility through his international activities.

‘Your days are numbered’

Noah’s criticism included a warning that VDM’s “days are numbered,” language that should be understood in the context of his broader remarks rather than reported as a prediction of a specific event or an established threat.

The disagreement illustrates the increasingly contentious relationship between Nigerian social-media commentators and religious personalities, particularly where criticism of pastors, churches and Christian practices becomes part of online debates.
