Nigerian Afrobeats singer Raheem Okoya, professionally known as Siraheem, has announced his professional exit from the music industry.
Siraheem, the son of billionaire industrialist Rasaq Okoya, announced the decision on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, explaining that balancing music with his other commitments had become increasingly difficult.
The singer said his music journey began as a hobby with friends before developing into a serious career. He said that although the experience had been rewarding, he no longer felt able to give music the level of time, patience and dedication he believed it deserved.
He therefore announced that he would stop releasing new music while exploring other creative and professional opportunities.
However, Siraheem did not completely close the door on music. He disclosed that he had been working on an album and suggested that the project could still be released in the future.
The singer began releasing music professionally around 2022 and released his eight-track project, By The Order Of The City, in May 2026.
Siraheem’s announcement marks a major shift in his career, although his comments leave open the possibility of a future return to music.
