Former Army Chief Tukur Buratai says security agencies possess the capacity to locate criminal groups.

Former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai (retd.), has challenged suggestions that security agencies are unable to locate bandits operating across the country.

According to Buratai, security institutions have the capability to track criminal elements if there is sufficient willingness and commitment to do so.

His remarks come amid continuing concerns over kidnappings and banditry in several parts of Nigeria.

The statement places renewed focus on the effectiveness of intelligence gathering and operational coordination in the fight against insecurity.

Buratai maintained that the challenge is not necessarily the absence of capacity but the practical application of available capabilities.
