President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to expanding access to affordable housing, employment opportunities and critical infrastructure in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), saying the ongoing projects are designed to improve the quality of life for residents and drive economic growth.

President Bola Tinubu has said his administration is delivering on its Renewed Hope Agenda by investing in infrastructure, housing and economic opportunities across the Federal Capital Territory. He stated that the projects being executed are intended to provide residents with greater access to homes, jobs and a more prosperous future.

Represented by the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, at the inauguration of a newly completed 10.5-kilometre road network in Karsana District, Abuja, Tinubu said infrastructure development remains central to his administration’s vision for national growth.

According to the President, the newly commissioned road will improve connectivity, unlock new residential and commercial opportunities, reduce travel time and stimulate economic activities within the district.

Tinubu commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for accelerating infrastructure development across Abuja, noting that several districts previously lacking basic road access are now experiencing significant improvements.

He stressed that housing development without accessible roads and supporting infrastructure cannot deliver meaningful benefits to citizens, adding that government remains committed to building communities where people can live, work and thrive.

The President said the Federal Government would continue investing in projects that create employment, encourage private investment and improve living standards across the FCT.

“We are providing access to homes, jobs and a better future,” Tinubu said, describing infrastructure as a catalyst for economic development and national progress.

He also urged residents and investors to support the government’s development efforts by fulfilling their civic responsibilities, including the payment of statutory taxes and levies that help fund public infrastructure.

The commissioning of the Karsana road network forms part of a series of infrastructure projects being delivered across the Federal Capital Territory under the Renewed Hope Agenda. The Federal Government says the investments are aimed at improving connectivity, expanding access to housing and creating new economic opportunities for residents.
