Former APC National Chairman says Rabiu Kwankwaso was once his political subordinate amid renewed rivalry.

Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has fired back at former Kano State governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, declaring that the NNPP leader was once under his political leadership.

Ganduje made the remark while responding to recent comments credited to Kwankwaso, as the long-running political rivalry between both Kano political heavyweights continues to deepen ahead of the 2027 elections.

The former Kano governor stated that Kwankwaso was once his political protégé, dismissing attempts to undermine his political relevance and influence.

The latest exchange adds to the growing political tension between the two politicians, who have remained fierce rivals since their fallout after serving together in Kano State’s political structure.

Both Ganduje and Kwankwaso remain influential figures in Kano politics and are expected to play major roles in political alignments ahead of the next general election.
