The All Progressives Congress has recorded a decisive victory at the polling unit of former Osun State Governor and ADC National Secretary Rauf Aregbesola.
The APC governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, secured 256 votes at the polling unit.
Accord Party candidate Ademola Adeleke polled 43 votes, while ADC candidate Najeem Salaam recorded 13 votes.
The result came under close scrutiny because of Aregbesola’s political influence in Osun and his prominent role in the ADC ahead of the governorship election.
The APC’s performance at the unit represented an early setback for the ADC as the wider results continued to be collated.
However, the polling-unit result is not representative of the final statewide outcome, with thousands of votes still being collated.
Reports confirmed the figures from Aregbesola’s polling unit as APC 256, Accord 43 and ADC 13.
