Spanish winger Bryan Zaragoza is set to leave Bayern Munich for Espanyol after the clubs reached an agreement over a loan deal containing a mandatory purchase clause.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that the agreement has been completed, with Zaragoza joining Espanyol initially on loan before the Spanish club makes the move permanent for €8 million in June 2027.
The agreement brings Zaragoza back to Spanish football after his spell with Bayern Munich.
The 25-year-old joined Bayern from Granada but struggled to establish himself at the German club and subsequently spent time on loan at other clubs.
Espanyol had been searching for another attacking option and had identified the winger as a target.
The final agreement was reached after negotiations between the two clubs, with the mandatory purchase clause ensuring that Zaragoza’s temporary move is expected to become permanent at the end of the 2026/27 season.
The €8 million obligation means Bayern are set to part permanently with the player next summer, barring circumstances that would prevent the clause from being triggered.
Zaragoza now returns to La Liga, where he previously established his reputation with Granada.
