The Federal Government has launched the Government Service Portal (GSP), a unified digital platform that provides Nigerians and businesses with a single online gateway to access government services, as part of efforts to improve service delivery, reduce bureaucracy and accelerate the country’s digital transformation.
The Government Service Portal was unveiled on Tuesday as part of the Federal Government’s drive to modernise public administration and make interactions with government agencies faster, easier and more transparent.
According to officials, the portal is designed to bring multiple government services together under one trusted digital platform, eliminating the need for citizens and businesses to visit different agency websites or offices for routine services.
Single Gateway for Government Services
Speaking at the launch, government officials said the portal will serve as a one-stop digital gateway where users can access services offered by Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
The initiative is expected to simplify access to government services, improve consistency across agencies, enhance transparency and deliver a more seamless experience for citizens and investors.
Part of Tinubu’s Digital Transformation Agenda
The Federal Government said the platform aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda by promoting digital innovation, improving public sector efficiency and supporting economic growth through technology.
Officials added that the platform will continue to expand as more government agencies integrate their services into the system.
Reducing Bureaucracy
Authorities said the Government Service Portal is expected to reduce paperwork, shorten processing times and improve accountability by enabling users to complete more government transactions online.
The platform is also intended to strengthen Nigeria’s digital public infrastructure while making government services more accessible nationwide.
