A terrifying job scam has once again exposed the growing danger facing desperate Nigerian job seekers.

A graduate of the University of Jos has narrated how kidnappers allegedly used a fake job offer and transport money to lure him into captivity in a shocking incident now sparking outrage online.

According to the victim, the suspected abductors contacted him with what appeared to be a legitimate employment opportunity and even sent him transport fare to attend the supposed interview, making the offer appear genuine and trustworthy.

The graduate explained that upon arriving at the agreed location, the situation suddenly changed and he realized he had walked into a dangerous trap. He was reportedly abducted and held captive before eventually regaining freedom after a traumatic ordeal.

The disturbing revelation has once again highlighted the rising desperation among unemployed Nigerian youths amid worsening economic hardship and high unemployment rates. Many young graduates searching for jobs have increasingly become targets of online fraudsters, ritual gangs and kidnapping syndicates posing as recruiters.

Security experts have repeatedly warned Nigerians to verify job invitations, company addresses and recruitment contacts before attending interviews, especially when meetings are arranged in isolated locations or through suspicious social media channels.

The incident has triggered emotional reactions across social media, with many Nigerians demanding stronger action against criminal networks exploiting vulnerable job seekers across the country.
