The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has confirmed that it has successfully uploaded the names and personal particulars of its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and vice-presidential candidate, Rotimi Amaechi, to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination portal, describing the move as another milestone in its preparations for the 2027 general elections.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially uploaded the names and personal particulars of its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination portal. The party said the development demonstrates its readiness for the 2027 general elections.
The announcement was made by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, who disclosed that the successful upload was completed through INEC’s candidate nomination portal.
According to him, the submission of the candidates’ particulars represents another key administrative requirement fulfilled by the party ahead of the statutory deadline for nominations.
INEC recently granted eligible political parties access to its nomination portal to enable them submit the names, affidavits and personal particulars of candidates contesting various elective offices.
The ADC said the upload reflects its commitment to presenting what it described as a credible alternative to Nigerians as political activities ahead of the 2027 elections gather momentum.
Bolaji Abdullahi stated that the successful upload underscores the party’s commitment to competence, unity and national renewal.
He added that the ADC would continue to comply with INEC’s electoral timetable and all legal requirements as preparations for the general elections continue.
The successful upload of Atiku Abubakar and Rotimi Amaechi’s particulars marks another significant step in the ADC’s electoral preparations. With the nomination process progressing across political parties, attention is expected to shift toward campaigns and other activities leading to the 2027 general elections.
